A Johnson City woman whose named appeared on an arrest report after a traffic stop last week turned out to be the victim of identity theft.
During that March 25 incident. Sandy M. Hodges, 42, of 665 Princeton Rd., Johnson City told police she was Judy L. Lyons, 43 of Dry Creek Road, Johnson City.
Hodges apparently did not have any identification so when police processed her, they recorded her name as Lyons.
Hodges was charged in that incident with possession of Schedule II drugs after police found crack cocaine in the gold Oldsmobile Intrigue she was driving.
When police confirmed her true identity, they learned Hodges driver’s license was suspended. Hodges is now charged with criminal impersonation and driving on a suspended license.
Lyons told the Press that she knows Hodges but only as an acquaintance.
