Delinquent property taxes add up to large chunk of change

Property tax is widely known as “the tax of last resort.”

City and county commissioners cringe at the thought of having no other alternative. It may sound patronizing, but most officials observed over the years in this area literally show signs of physical distress when that option wiggles into conversations about how to fund schools, for example.
