Johnson City police arrested two people Wednesday on charges that they stole a riding lawnmower and other property when they burglarized a storage building.
James Scott Vanhoy, 42, 1519 Sylvan Drive, and Trula McBee, 31, 2207 Indian Ridge Road, No. 5, were charged with burglary and theft of property over $1,000.
Police said in a news release VanHoy and McBee broke into a storage building at a north Johnson City residence and loaded a riding lawnmower and other property into a van.
VanHoy sold some of the stolen property, which police recovered, according to the release.
VanHoy and McBee were jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond each pending Sessions Court appearances Friday.
