BLOUNTVILLE — A Blountville father and son have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly running a man down with a truck — striking him and knocking him onto the vehicle's hood — then kicking, punching and beating the victim with a wooden a club.
It reportedly occurred Sunday morning at the home of the father's estranged wife. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office says the duo were arrested early Monday by patrol officers, while a third suspect also faces charges in the incident.
Tommie Boswell Sr., 42, and Tommy Boswell Jr., 18, are currently held in the Sullivan County jail in Blountville. Each of their addresses are listed as 543 Muddy Creek Road, where the incident occurred. An affidavit states the female resident of the home had separated from Boswell Sr. in October.
