Eastman Credit Union has announced plans to open a new branch location in the Fresh Market shopping center in Johnson City.
“We are excited to make the announcement as we have been looking for an option that is convenient to both ETSU and the Medical Center for some time. Johnson City members are important to us and we want them to have the convenient branch locations they deserve,” said Eastman Credit Union president and CEO Olan Jones.
Planned to open this summer, the new full-service branch will offer teller and drive thru services, safe deposit boxes, member service offices for loans and deposits and an on-site mortgage officer.
“Hopefully through this branch more Johnson City area residents will come to know the extraordinary difference that we have to offer at ECU,” said Chuck Perry, ECU’s regional manager for the Johnson City area. “Opening an account with us is really simple. Many people in Johnson City don’t realize they can do their business at ECU, but they can and it’s free.”
ECU is the largest credit union in Tennessee and one of the largest credit unions in the country with more than $2.4 billion in assets. ECU is a not-for-profit, financial services cooperative serving 129,000 members at 21 branches. Credit Union members have access to more than 42,000 free ATMs nationwide and a wide range of financial services, including free checking and free online banking.
