BLOUNTVILLE — An elderly Bristol man has entered a no-contest plea of guilty to sexual battery of a young girl.
Willis Otey, 75, 190 Jones Hollow Road, Bristol, Tenn., was originally charged with rape of a child, but was allowed to enter a no-contest plea of guilty to a reduced charge of sexual battery Thursday in Sullivan County court.
Sullivan County Assistant District Attorney William Harper said Otey was placed on supervised probation for a year, and has been placed on the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry.
