A little more than 10 years ago, when he was just 21, singer-songwriter Marc Broussard did a multi-night gig at what was then The Sophisticated Otter, with acts like Rob Russell & the Sore Losers and Yukon. He left an impression.
Good news: On Friday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Broussard will take the stage as headliner at Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Greeneville.
Broussard is a baby-faced father of four from Carencro, La., with the voice of a Motown soul singer. Throw in some rock and Cajun influences and you’ve got songs that will move you. Does NPAC allow dancing in the aisles? Just try and stay in your seat.
Broussard comes from a long line of musicians, including his dad, Ted, who is a Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist and former member of the R&B group Boogie Kings.
He has been a featured performer on many TV programs, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, A&E Breakfast with the Arts, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, CBS Saturday Early Show, Larry King Live “Lopez Tonight,” and CBS’s Saturday Morning’s Second Cup Cafe.
