American Idol Audition Bus to make stop in Knoxville

East Tennesseans who have ever wanted to tryout for the TV show “American Idol” will have their chance Friday, as the show’s bus tour makes a stop in Knoxville.

According to a news release from a Fox Network representative, the “American Idol” Audition Bus will be scouting out talent for this year’s competition at Krutch Park, 504 Market St. SW, starting at 8 a.m. Friday.

According to americanidol.com, those wishing to audition must by a legal United States citizen or a permanent U.S. resident who is eligible to work full-time in the U.S., as well as be 15 to 28 years old.

“Idol” hopefuls are also asked to bring two forms of identification and a completed personal release form to the registration Friday morning.

According to the website, parents and guardians must be present in order for those under 18 years old to audition, as well as have a completed and notarized guardian and medical authorization for minors form at the time of registration.

The Audition Bus, having already visited Little Rock, Ark., Oxford Miss., and Tuscaloosa, Ala., will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., after its stop in Knoxville.
