Sutphin and Harvey Senior Speakers for UCHS Class of 2018

ERWIN — The Unicoi County High School Class of 2018’s Senior Speakers were Elizabeth Sutphin and Alexis Harvey.

Sutphin is the daughter of Alan and Jan Sutphin. She graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and will attend Belmont University. Her extracurricular activities were Drama, Mock Trial, 4-H, National Honor Society and Student Council.

Harvey is the daughter of Crystal Winston and Daryl Harvey. She graduated with a 3.9 grade point average and will attend Tennessee Tech University. Her extracurricular activities were National Honor Society, Beta Club, band, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Christian Student Union.

What will you remember most about high school?

Sutphin: “I have made so many good memories and friendships over the past 4 years. The thing I will remember most is all of the wonderful people I have met.

Harvey: “Winning Grand Champions with the UCHS Marching Band.”

Who do you think you will be in 10 years?

Sutphin: “After undergrad, I plan on attending law school and becoming an attorney. My goal is to become the next Judge Judy, but we’ll see.

Harvey: “I see myself working as an electrical engineer for a power distribution company, helping the community and making big bank.”

What advice will you share with the Class of 2018?

Sutphin: “To the graduating class of 2018, work toward success, but don’t lose sight of your passion.”

Harvey: “I want to share how important a drive for success is, and that we can do anything we put our minds to.”
