Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday and will include food, music and fireworks.
All of the evening’s activities are free.
DKA is partnering with the Kingsport Convention & Visitor’s Bureau to provide entertainment for the evening. Orange Krush will take the stage at 6 p.m. Shenandoah will follow at 8 p.m. and lead the crowd into the fireworks extravaganza at 9:45 p.m.
Vendors will also be serving food on Broad Street starting at 5 p.m.
In addition to the food and musical entertainment, Fleet Feet Sports and First Broad Street United Methodist Church have partnered to provide the 4th annual Red, White & Boom 4-Miler, sponsored by First Assist Urgent Care. A one-mile race will begin at 7 p.m., and the four-mile race will follow at 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m. from atop Cement Hill, with 98.5 WTFM providing synchronized music.
