Carl and Darlene Taylor, 215 Greenlee Road, Johnson City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny Luann, to Christopher Scott Drinnon, son of Benny and Suzanne Drinnon, 311 Ridgehaven Road, Surgoinsville.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Happy Valley High School; a graduate of Walters State Community College, where she received an associate degree in animal science; a graduate of University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where she received a bachelor’s degree; and is a student at University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she is pursuing a doctorate of veterinary medicine.

She is a granddaughter of the late Fred and Dora Blackburn; the late Jack and Arabelle Taylor; and Lawrence and Margie Range, Elizabethton.

Her fiancé is a 2006 graduate of Volunteer High School; a 2008 graduate of Walters State Community College, where he received an associate degree in agriculture; and a 2012 graduate of University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering. He is employed by JTEKT Automotive, Morristown, as a die cast engineer.

He is a grandson of Geraldine Drinnon, Surgoinsville, and the late Guy Drinnon; and Frances Rutherford, Blountville, and the late Eugene Rutherford.

The couple plan a private wedding for Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Barn at Boone Falls, Boones Creek.
