KEY WEST, Fla. – Cari Ann Wilcox and Samuel Jackson Henegar were married Monday, Nov. 24, 2008. Robert L. Ayr officiated the exchange of vows at sunset.

The bride is a daughter of Wayne and Carolyn Wilcox, Johnson City, Tenn.

She is a granddaughter of the late Carrick and Betty Wilcox; the late Carlos H. Byrd; and the late Lucille Byrd.

The groom is a son of Steve Henegar, Morristown, Tenn.; and Terrie Henegar, Elizabethton, Tenn.

He is a grandson of the late Ray and Martha Henegar; Frank and Jackie Fisher, Morristown; and the late Irene Turner Fisher.

Following the wedding, the couple remained in Key West for their honeymoon. A reception was held after their return at Heartland Fellowship Church, Elizabethton.

Johnson-Fillers

Marie Allison Fillers and Earl Edward Johnson were married Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Central Church of Christ. Dr. Tom Seals of Lipscomb University, Nashville, officiated the 5 p.m. exchange of vows.

Music was provided by Sophisticated Strings.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Jane Fillers, Johnson City. She is the granddaughter of Grace Crowder, Bluff City; the late Dock Ross (D.R.) Crowder; Evelyn Fillers, Johnson City; and the late Vernon Fillers.

The groom is the son of Richard and Debbie Johnson of Lambsburg, Va. He is a grandson of Lummie Edwards, Lambsburg; the late Marcus Edwards; Lola Johnson, Cana, Va.; and the late Clyde Johnson.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a diamond white strapless empress taffeta gown with a subtle fit and flare silhouette. The bodice was accented with Alençon lace and rich taffeta wrapped asymmetrically. The fitted skirt was accented with Alençon lace and extended into a chapel-length train. The back of the gown was finished with a V-shape and buttons dotting the center.

Maids of honor were Brandy Bagley and Megan Burleson.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Austin, Brittney Beard, Ellen Brewer, Laura Peery, sister of the groom, and Callie Rice.

Flower girls were Zoe Sanders and Kaitlyn Bagley.

Richard Johnson, father of the groom, and Jason Dawson served as best men.

Groomsmen were John Bathke, Jonathan Caldwell, Richard Johnson, brother of the groom, Seth Peery and Brandon Schoonover.

Ringbearer was Caleb Dawson.

Nathan Warner and Will Cotton served as ushers.

Following a reception at the MeadowView Marriott, the couple took a wedding trip to Hawaii. They reside in Boones Creek.
