Update: Sheriff, school system to investigate DBHS bomb scare

Although a Washington County Schools official said a bomb threat at a high school was an apparent hoax, the administration and law enforcement will be looking into who made the threat.

Erwin man stabbed to death in Colorado

The victim was identified as Patrick Hampton, 31, of Erwin. According to police officials, Hampton was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Rat snakes can be mistaken for poisonous copperheads, although Principal Josh Davis and Director of Schools Jubal Yennie said the two snakes inside the building were definitely rat snakes, not copperheads.
