The Proto Club of Johnson City, in conjunction with the scholarships it already gives to worthy recipients in the community, has recently graduated the first of what they believe to be many future classes of tradesmen and women.

With an anonymous donation of $100,000 made last week, the fundraising drive to help build a fine and performing arts center at East Tennessee State University is now nearly two-thirds to its initial goal.
